Asolo Prosecco DOCGMontello Rosso DOCG

From Castelcucco, on the Treviso side, Al Pioggio oversees two contiguous yet stylistically opposite denominations. Asolo Prosecco governs the lighter side of local sparkling wines: Glera in the forefront, flanked by regional varieties—Verdiso, Bianchetta trevigiana, and Perera—for brut expressions that respect the minimum 10.5% alcohol. Frizzante or fully spumante, the wine translates the hills into contemporary bubbles, where elegance arises from rigor rather than abundance. Alongside the sparkling wine, the winery produces Montello Rosso, the still red counterpart from the same hilly area. Together, these two denominations paint a complete portrait of this corner of Veneto: on one side, the aromatic vivacity and measured lightness of Asolo Prosecco; on the other, the structure of a red wine that roots the territory in a denser, more contemplative dimension. It's an interpretation of a landscape with two voices, where the same hand interprets both the subtlety of effervescence and the depth of an aging wine, conveying the precision that defines the terroir of the Castelcucco hills.
